Kōkako has roasted exceptional Fairtrade Organic coffee in Auckland since its inception in 2001. From their roastery, in Mt Eden, they supply coffee and drinking chocolate to over 70 cafes across the country and pride themselves on our commitment to continually bettering how our business supports this earth and its people. One way they do this is by bagging all their beans and drinking chocolate in NZ made home-compost friendly packaging.

Forest is a series of pop-up dinners that are all about plants. For them, that means that they can feel good about serving a purely plant-based menu with ingredients sourced locally, sometimes from backyards, and they try to throw away as little as possible. Restricting their menu to being fully plant-based means that they are able to focus our creativity on utilising plants in as many ways as they like, and can really showcase what the plants growing all around them have to offer. 

Kōkako and Forest Pop-Ups are collaborating on a special celebration of a waste product from the coffee roasting process for Ferment this year - you'll have to come along to find out what!
